By This All People Will Know . . .
How do people know we are a disciple of Jesus? On the night of His final Passover, before his arrest and crucifixion, Jesus commanded His disciples to love one another, as He loved them; and told them that this love would be a sign to the world that they were His disciples. Each year as we spiritually prepare for Passover. We need to ask ourselves whether we have this same kind of love for our brothers and sisters in Christ. A love that allows all people to know we are one of Jesus’ disciples.

Feast of Trumpets a Memorial and Day of Remembrance
The Feast of Trumpets was
a memorial day in which old covenant Israel was to remember their
sojourning in the wilderness of Sinai. As Christians we observe the
Feast of Trumpets in the light of the new covenant. This festival
helps us to remember each year that with the sound of a trumpet -
Jesus will return, the kingdom of God will be established and the
dead will be raised.
Passover and the New Covenant
The first mention of the new covenant in the Bible is in Jeremiah 31:31-34. A prophecy of God making a new covenant with His people. A covenant very different from the one He made with Israel when they came out of Egyptian captivity. The first New Testament reference to this new covenant is in Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:24 and Luke 22:20, where Jesus institutes the new covenant or Christian Passover. In this article we will see a strong connection between the new covenant and the Christian Passover.

Jesus in the Festivals of Leviticus Twenty-Three
For Christians the biblical festivals of Leviticus 23 are rich in meaning and understanding. The apostle Paul describes the festivals as a shadow, with Jesus being the body or substance casting the shadow. In this article we will examine Jesus’ crucial role as the body, behind the shadow of the festivals.
Living as a Sojourner
Christians are “sojourners and pilgrims” in the wilderness of this world. This isn't our society. We are only heirs of God, not yet inheritors of our permanent dwelling place the promised kingdom of God. Staying in a temporary dwelling during the Feast of Tabernacles teaches us that this physical life is only temporary; that we are now sojourners waiting to inherit the kingdom of God.

Pentecost and the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a major theme of Pentecost, because on this day it was poured out on Jesus disciples. In both the Old and New Testaments we find predictions of this outpouring. The Spirit makes it possible for us to: 1) Obey God, 2) Produce spiritual fruit, 3) Have spiritual gifts.
